Ayer, el jugador profesional Daigo Umehara anunció vía sus cuentas de Twitter en japonés e inglés que dio positivo por COVID-19.
Según Umehara, él comenzó a experimentar fiebre alta y fatiga el 5 de mayo. Al día siguiente, le diagnosticaron el coronavirus.
«He estado en cuarentena desde que comenzaron los síntomas, y ahora estoy descansando en casa mientras espero noticias de la oficina de administración de salud para los próximos pasos».
En un tuit adicional, se disculpa con los fanáticos «por cualquier preocupación» causada. «Por ahora, concentraré mis esfuerzos en una recuperación rápida».
Daigo es uno de los mejores jugadores de Street Fighter del mundo. Según el Guinness World Records, Umehara es «el jugador más exitoso en los principales torneos de Street Fighter».

6日、新型コロナウイルス陽性の結果を受けました。5日に高熱と倦怠感などの風邪の症状が出たため、翌日病院で検査をうけたものです。発症してからは外出せず、保健所からの連絡を待ちながら自宅療養を続けています。
