While fans still wait for the reveal of the next Nintendo console, Nintendo just launched the Nintendo Music app for smart devices. Gamers now have the ability to stream audio directly, or can alternatively save it for another session, thus being easy to bring to the users’ desired soundtracks.
The app allows users to find songs by game title, track name, or playlist, and even browse via screenshots. Ideal for background music while working or studying, users can loop songs or extend select tracks to 15, 30, or 60 minutes for uninterrupted listening. To avoid game spoilers, a filter option is available to remove potentially spoiler-laden soundtracks.
Users can create and share personal playlists or explore curated playlists by Nintendo, with recommendations tailored to their Nintendo Switch Play Activity. With continuous music updates, the app ensures a constantly growing library.
Although there is a variety of songs, early users of the Nintendo Music app are voicing their discontent over the app’s failure to adequately credit the composers behind the iconic soundtracks.
The app is currently available for iOS and Android devices. It is currently available for members of Nintendo Switch Online at no additional cost.
