Xbox has brought back the much-requested friend feature (Friends and Followers) today to Xbox Insiders using their Xbox Series console, Windows PCs and handheld devices. Xbox Insiders will have the opportunity to test out the feature last seen during the Xbox 360 generation.
This new version will let players send, accept, or remove friend requests, simplifying the process of connecting with others.
“Friends are now a two-way, invite-approved relationship, giving you more control and flexibility. Meanwhile, following someone remains a one-way connection, allowing you to stay updated with their shared content, whether it’s another player, club, or game,” says the post.
With the availability of this feature, Xbox is also introducing new privacy and notification settings, allowing users to choose who can send them friend requests or follow their account, as well as which notifications they receive.
Users who are not yet Xbox Insiders can sign up to take advantage of this feature now.
