Nintendo announced today the shutdown of Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp on iOS and Android devices. The closure of the online service for the game will take place on November 28, 2024, at 10:00 AM ET, 7:00 AM PT.
A flat-free paid, offline version of the game is currently in development that will let users continue playing the game with their existing save data. Because this offline version will not require an online connection, some features won’t be available (such as gifts and visiting campsites of other players). Players also won’t be able to use Leaf Tickets because they won’t be transferred into the paid app. There will be more info “around October 2024” about the paid, offline version, such as price and release date.
With the closure of the game comes the end of the Pocket Camp Club subscription service. Players will not be able to enroll into this subscription starting October 28.
Nintendo made the announcement via its game website, social media, and emails sent to users of the mobile game.
