Ibrahim Al-Nasser, a dedicated gamer from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, has achieved a Guinness World Record by connecting 444 gaming consoles to one TV. His impressive collection spans from the Magnavox Odyssey, the first-ever gaming console released in 1972, to the PlayStation 5 Slim, released in late 2023. Ibrahim’s setup includes over 30 RCA switchers and more than 12 HDMI switchers, allowing him to manage the connections efficiently.
Ibrahim’s project began when he realized he had accumulated a large number of gaming consoles that he couldn’t play due to limited TV ports. Instead of unplugging and re-plugging consoles, he decided to add more switchers and converters, eventually connecting all his consoles to the TV. This unique project led him to contact Guinness World Records, recognizing the uniqueness of his setup.
To manage his extensive collection, Ibrahim uses an Excel spreadsheet that helps him identify which switcher to turn on for each console. His precise cable management ensures that the setup is not only functional but also visually pleasing, resembling a museum display. Ibrahim’s dedication to organizing the cables and maintaining a clean setup highlights his commitment to both gaming and technical precision.
Ibrahim’s collection includes a wide variety of consoles, such as the Xbox 360, Nintendo Switch, Wii U, Sega Genesis, and rare consoles like the Super A’Can. He also has plug-and-play games, HDMI game sticks, and Android games. Despite the vast array of consoles, Ibrahim’s favorite remains the Sega Genesis, which he considers the best gaming console of all time.
“A very important thing, if you notice here, the cables are almost hidden. I used all the tools available in the market in order to organize the cables. Also to have a set up that’s not only to play, it’s like a museum and that’s why this set up and this record took so much time from me. I’m so happy and proud that I’m officially a record holder.”
