The Nintendo Switch OLED Model continues to lead Japanese game console sales with 35,104 units sold for the week of July 29 – August 4, 2024, bringing its lifetime sales to an impressive 7,641,997 units. The Nintendo Switch Lite and the original Nintendo Switch also show strong sales, with 13,280 and 9,373 units sold respectively.
Meanwhile, the PlayStation 5 follows in second place with 20,472 units sold this week, reaching a lifetime total of 5,076,563 units. The PlayStation 5 Digital Edition remains in fifth place with 5,321 units sold.
Still lagging behind in terms of sales, Xbox Series X sold 4,264 units, while the Xbox Series S saw a significant drop with only 75 units sold this week.
