After rumors of a possible 2026 launch, Take-Two Interactive announced GTA VI release for Fall 2025, according to the company’s recent earnings report.
“As we enter Fiscal 2025 with positive momentum, we expect to deliver Net Bookings of $5.55 to $5.65 billion. Our outlook reflects a narrowing of Rockstar Games’ previously established window of Calendar 2025 to Fall of Calendar 2025 for Grand Theft Auto VI. We are highly confident that Rockstar Games will deliver an unparalleled entertainment experience, and our expectations for the commercial impact of the title continue to increase.”
While the announcement narrows somewhat an official and definite release date for Fall 2025, Take-Two Interactive had a delay for Grand Theft Auto 5. GTA5 missed its original release date for the second quarter of 2013 and was eventually released on September 17, 2013.
Almost two months ago, sources told Kotaku the game was going to miss its 2025 release into 2026, while others said an early 2025 release was previously possible but no more and that the company’s target was set for Fall 2025, still with chances of a possible delay.
