Unicorn Overlord took the lead in the Japanese game sales charts during the week of March 4-10, 2024. Not only it landed first place with the Nintendo Switch version at 40,991 copies sold, but it also made it in 3rd place with the PS5 version at 24,398 copies sold and on 8th place with the PS4 version at 8,797 copies sold. The tactical RPG where players assume the role of Prince Alain, who, as an exiled royal, leads the Liberation Army on a sweeping campaign through the enchanting and fantastical land of Fevrith.
Besides Unicorn Overlord (developed by Vanillaware and published by Sega worldwide), one of the only two games that made its debut that week was Irem Collection Vol. 1 (Archive | Screenshot) with 2,504 Switch copies sold. The collection comes with the 1988 game Image Fight (Arcade, NES, PC Engine versions), the 1992 sequel Image Fight 2 (PC Engine version), and its 1989 spin-off X Multiply (Arcade).
The other title was Fitness Boxing feat. Hatsune Miku: Isshoni Exercise. In the game, Hatsume Miku becomes your exercise partner, guiding you through your fitness journey.
