The anime programming block Toonami announced today it will broadcast the first eight episodes of Dragon Ball Z Kai to pay tribute to series creator Akira Toriyama after his passing on March 1st, 2024.
The DBZ Kai marathon will start at 2am to 6am on the evening of March 16, 2024.
“As a tribute to anime legend Akira Toriyama (1955-2024), we’re celebrating his legacy Saturday night with a DBZ Kai marathon from 2a to 6a,” says the Toonami post. “May he rest in Super Saiyan power.”
Fans around the world, like the thousands in Latin America who have been gathering in the streets to pay tribute to Akira Toriyama, may get together at their homes and other places to watch DBZ Kai once again.
