After five thrilling seasons on Netflix, the saga of Stranger Things is finally set to reach its epic conclusion. However, this is not the end, but rather the beginning of a remarkable expansion of the Stranger Things universe. Netflix has officially given the green light to an untitled animated series, a project brought to life in collaboration with the creative powerhouse, Flying Bark Productions, alongside the visionary executive producer, Eric Robles.
“We’ve always dreamed of an animated Stranger Things in the vein of the Saturday morning cartoons that we grew up loving, and to see this dream realized has been absolutely thrilling,” executive producers Matt and Ross Duffer said Monday via a statement. “We couldn’t be more blown away by what Eric Robles and his team have come up with — the scripts and artwork are incredible, and we can’t wait to share more with you! The adventure continues.”
This comes after The Duffers established Upside Down Pictures, as Deadline announced in July 2022, and they currently have a number of Stranger Things-related projects in the works, including a theatrical production and a live-action spinoff.
