According to a statement from EA, sales of Battlefield 1943, Battlefield: Bad Company 1, and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 will end on April 28 across all digital stores.
The action is being taken ahead of the company’s Dec. 8 shutdown of all online services for those games. They won’t be playable online after their online features are eliminated, but players will still be able to access offline functions of both Bad Company titles.
“While these titles hold a special place in our heart, we’re now looking forward to creating new memories alongside you as we shift our focus towards our current and future Battlefield experiences,” says the EA post.
All of these games were released during the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 4 eras, and they are all at least ten years old. Battlefield 1943 debuted in 2009, Battlefield: Bad Company 1 in 2008, and Bad Company 2 in 2010.
