Famitsu shared the short Top 10 titles via a post, with two new games making their way into the Japan game sales charts for the week of March 6–12, 2023. However, Famitsu didn’t update the full Game Sales page. Fortunately, two titles appeared in the short list: Fatal Frame: Mask of the Moon Eclipse and Ib.
Fatal Frame: Mask of the Moon Eclipse is a remastered version of the former Wii-exclusive title that made its debut in 2008. The Japanese horror game is now available on Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam.
“Rogetsu Kagura is a festival held once every ten years on Rogetsu Isle in southern Japan. During the festival, five girls mysteriously disappeared. The girls were rescued by a detective, but all of their memories were lost. One of the girls that disappeared mysteriously, Ruka Minazuki, had a faint memory of a single melody… Ten years later, two of the girls that mysteriously disappeared were killed one after another. Determined to solve the mystery of their friends’ deaths, the remaining girls, Misaki and Madoka, agree to travel to Rogetsu Isle. Ruka decides to follow them to the island. Will they find out what lies beyond their lost memories?,” says the game’s website (archive | screenshot).
Meanwhile, the recently-released version of Ib is a remake of the 2D horror adventure game made by Japanese indie developer Kouri originally released in 2012.
“Players take control of Ib, who finds herself alone in the art gallery. Players must find items and solve puzzles in order to make their way through this exploration based horror adventure game.
The ending you experience will depend on your own actions and choices that you make while making your way through the strange art gallery,” says the game’s website (archive | screenshot).
