According to Bloomberg, Warner Bros. has once more postponed the release of Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, a video game based on the Suicide Squad comic book series, moving it from May to later this year.
Originally scheduled for release in 2022, “Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League” was pushed back to Spring 2023, the game developer announced on May 23, 2022. Game developer Rocksteady Studios then announced a concrete release date (May 26, 2023) during The Game Awards 2022.
Fans criticized Suicide Squad for having service components like purchasable cosmetics and an always-online internet connection need when it was featured at the PlayStation State of Play in February.
“The delay is necessary mostly to fix bugs and improve aspects of the game that were lagging behind and won’t overhaul much of the core gameplay that had led to the backlash,” a source told Bloomberg.
Warner Bros nor Rocksteady Studios have publicly announced the game’s delay. The game’s website still mentions May 26 as the release date, according to the FAQ page [archive | screenshot].
