Via an investigative report, the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) revealed that Google Stadia held just a 0-5% presence in the cloud gaming market share in 2022.
As seen on the stats, Google Stadia had reached from 5% to 10% of the market in 2021. However, Google Stadia and Nvidia GFN went down percentage-wise in 2022 due to the big presence of xCloud (aka Xbox Cloud Gaming). Amazon Luna also got a small percentage of the market share.

- xCloud: 60-70%
- PlayStation Cloud Gaming: 10-20%
- NVIDIA GFN: 10-20%
- Google Stadia: 0-5%

“We consider that Google’s recent decision to shut down its own cloud gaming service, Stadia, shows that merely having some strengths relevant to cloud gaming is not enough to guarantee a platform’s success.” Google Stadia ended its service on January 18, 2023.
