In a conversation with Comicbook.com, Neil Druckmann said Naughty Dog will announced a new game much closer to its release than in previous occasions.
“We did announce Uncharted 4 and The Last of Us Part 2 way in advance, but that actually caused a little bit of the work-life balance issues that we’ve sometimes had at the studio,” Druckmann told Comicbook.com.
The early announcement of games has created problems for developers as they have a date they are forced to release a title. By announcing a game closer to the release date allows developers to have more time.
Druckmann also told Comicbook.com that announcing a game much closer to its release date would allow developers to “play with the schedule more.”
He also added that Naughty Dog is working on a Last of Us multiplayer game and another project that he refused to talk about. “I will not say anything about that’s beyond that that we’re also very much excited for.”
