Famitsu reported the Japan game console sales for the week of October 17-23, 2022, with an increase in units overall after lower sales in recent weeks.
During this specific week, overall console sales increased to 87,526 units. That’s about 20k more units than in the previously reported week of October 10-16 with 67,177.
Also, Nintendo sold 54,637 Switch units overall, with 62.4237369% of all consoles sold. That’s more than the 43,329 units the previous week.
Sony is not only in second place in terms of units sold for the week, its PS5 console remained in second place right after the Nintendo Switch OLED model. There were 28,661 PS5 units sold for the week.
Microsoft saw an increase in the number of units as well with 4,158, higher than in the previous week with 3,551.
