Famitsu recently reported the Japan game console sales for the week of August 22-28, 2022, with higher sales of consoles than in recent weeks.
The Nintendo Switch continues to be the #1 console in Japan with 113,530 units sold, (almost twice as many when compared to reported sales for the week of August 15-21 with 58,396 units sold) and 130 2DS units. Meanwhile, Sony sold more consoles than in previous weeks with 25,469 PS5 consoles sold and 15 PS4 units sold. This week was also favorable for Microsoft as it sold 16,726 Xbox Series units, a higher number of units than in previous weeks.
