Days Gone film in development

According to Deadline, Sony PlayStation Productions continues to turn some of its game franchises into movies with a Days Gone film reportedly in development.

The Deadline article says the film will be produced by Jennifer Klein and Sheldon Turner (representing PlayStation Productions). Asad Qizilbash and Carter Swan will produce the film representing PlayStation Productions.

The producers are currently considering actor Sam Heughan to play the role of Deacon. Sheldon Turner, writer of X-Men: First Class, will work on the movie script.

The mentioned upcoming film may satisfy fans after game developer Bend Studio announced in June its next game will not be a Days Gone 2 sequel.
