Since Fall Guys became free-to-play last week, the game reached a new active players record on Epic Games Store.
According to a tweet by @FallGuysGame, the release of Fall Guys on EGS brought 20 million players during the first 48 hours of release.
It’s “more than 2x their previous PC CCU record, contributing to a record number of active players for the store last Tuesday,” says a tweet by EGS.
This new achievement comes as the game becomes free-to-play in various gaming platforms and leaves Steam. At Steam, the game was previously available for purchase. Though it’s no longer available on Steam, players who obtained the game can continue playing the game on that PC platform.
For Epic Games, its decision to purchase Tonic Games Group and Mediatonic has paid off for this fantastic achievement.
