Though the Nintendo Switch models occupied the top three positions in Japan game console sales, both Xbox Series models outsold the PS5 models during the week of June 13-19, 2022.
According to Famitsu, Nintendo sold a total of 50,405 Switch consoles. Meanwhile, Microsoft occupied second in overall console sales with 6,695 Xbox Series units. Sony got third place with a total of 3,035 PS5 consoles.
This is the first time in recent months that the Xbox Series X|S models have pushed the PS5 models to 6th and 7th place.
