Though Nintendo’s two recent titles continue to lead the Japan game sale charts, three new titles made their debut in the Top 30 for the week of May 23-29, 2022: Radiant Tail, Nayuta no Kiseki: Ad Astra, and Enzai Shikkou Yuugi Yurukill.
According to Gematsu (archive), the otome visual novel game Radiant Tale (ラディアンティル) is “a circus fantasy adventure game with main character design by Kageroo Usuba, directed by Mizuki Mugino, and produced by Shinobu Iwata.” The Nintendo Switch version of the game got 4th place with 7.311 copies sold.
Nayuta no Kiseki: Ad Astra (aka The Legend of Nayuta: Boundless Trails) is an HD remastered version of the action RPG game Nayuta no Kiseki first released for the PlayStation Portable on July 26, 2012. This version offers the same improvements seen in the PS4 and Steam (PC) versions called Nayuta no Kiseki: Kai released in 2021. NIS America is planning to release the English version in 2023 for Windows, PS4 and Nintendo Switch.
“Nayuta has always dreamed of exploring beyond the horizon of his island home. After a fateful encounter with a fairy by the name of Noi, he and his friends find themselves whisked away on an adventure through multiple worlds in order to stop an evil plot that has been set in motion,” says the game’s page on Steam (archive).
The title made its debut in 12th place.
Enzai Shikkou Yuugi Yurukill (aka Yurukill: The Calumniation Games) is an adventure /shoot-’em up game in which protagonist Sengoku Shunju is forced to fight for his freedom and prove his innocence after being accused of arson and the murders of 21 people.
The North American debut of the game will be on July 5, 2022, and its European version on July 8, 2022, according to the game’s website (archive).
