Dwayne Johnson to produce It Takes Two film for Amazon

Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock will produce the upcoming It Takes Two film for Amazon, according to Variety.

In January, Variety indicated that the game was being adapted for the big screen by dj2 Entertainment.

As initially reported, the film will be produced by dj2 Entertainment, with Seven Bucks Productions and Amazon Studios now on board. According to Variety, Seven Bucks Productions will be represented by Dwayne Johnson, Dany Garcia, and Hiram Garcia who will produce the film. What hasn’t been confirmed is if Dwayne will star in the movie.

The award-winning videogame developed by Hazelight Studios doesn’t have a single-player mode. It can only be played between two players either online or local play. It won Game of the Year at the 2021 The Game Awards.

It Takes Two is the story of a married couple, Cody and May, about to get divorced and tell the news to their daughter Rose. While the kid plays with her two dolls representing her parents, both Cody and May are transported into the dolls’ bodies after Rose’s tears fall on the dolls.
