The first episode of the Halo TV series is now available free on YouTube

After its debut on Paramount+, the first episode of the live-action Halo TV series has been made available free on YouTube, though only for viewers in the US.

The TV series, loosely based on the video game franchise, introduces the audience to a war between the United Nations Space Command and the Covenant in the 26th century. The goal of the Covenant: to get rid of the human race.

In the TV series, Pablo Schreiber plays the role of Master Chief Petty Officer John-117. Meanwhile, Jen Taylor is the voice of Cortana, the same one from the Halo games. The show had been picked for a second season before its debut.

The first episode comes to YouTube as a way to convince fans to check out the Paramount+ streaming service. Subscribers to the service can already watch the second episode.
