AT&T recently announced its internet service AT&T Fiber is now offering 2-Gig and 5-Gig speed tiers in 70+ metro areas, including Orlando, Los Angeles, Chicago and others.
The new service is already available for about 5.2 million customers. The company expects to bring its service to over 30 million customer locations by the end of 2025.
People who sign up will not have to worry for equipment fees, price increase at 12 months, and data caps. There’s also no annual contract. HBO Max and AT&T ActiveArmor internet security are also be included on the fastest plans, for free.
With the hardships created by the pandemic, the company understands the need for people to use more devices at home.
Currently, AT&T offers two plans for home and business use: AT&T Fiber 2 GIG ($110/month + taxes); AT&T Business Fiber 2 GIG ($225/month + taxes); AT&T Fiber 5 GIG ($180/month + taxes); AT&T Business Fiber 5 GIG ($395/month + taxes).
AT&T also participates in the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) to provide eligible households with assistance of up to $30 a month ($75 on qualifying Tribal lands) to reduce broadband cost.
