Garfield is the first DLC character for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl

Via IGN, game developer Ludosity announced the first DLC character for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl will be Garfield, the lasagna-loving orange cat created by Jim Davis.

Many people around the world should recognize the Monday-hating cat. In 2002, Garfield became the world’s most syndicated comic strip. Two years later, Garfield was already appearing in almost 2600 newspaper worldwide.

Ludosity released a trailer of the recently revealed character this morning demonstrating Garfield’s moves against the original fighters. He joins such characters as SpongeBob, Toph, Reptar, Red and Stimpy.

Since its first appearance in 1978, the character has made various appearances in animated TV series, films, and video games.

Garfield creator Jim Davis sold his company Paws, Inc., to ViacomCBS (which owns Nickelodeon) in August 2019.

It seems like Ludosity didn’t make the announcement yesterday because Garfield hates Mondays.
