Since its launch on November 19, Battlefield 2042 has received “mostly negative” reviews. Currently, only 34% of the 58,242 user reviews on Steam are positive for this game.
For many fans, the release of BF2042 was rushed and unfinished. One Steam user stated BF2042 is not recommended for various reasons (archive) such as no single-player mode, no melee weapon options, no general chat, etc.
This list comes after DICE had already published a list of 37 known issues (archive) announced two weeks ago.
Fawzi Mesmar, head of design at DICE, left the company on November 26, just days after the game got “the worst user score of the year” on Steam (archive).
Meanwhile, Farming Simulator 22 was released three days after BF 2042. FS22 received 85% of 7384 positive user reviews.
