Today, Nintendo and Niantic announced the launch of AR game Pikmin Bloom, coming to iOS and Android.
The new augmented reality title will make its debut first in Australia and Singapore today, and in the next few days to the rest of the world.
The goal of this free game is to plant Pikmin creatures wherever a user goes for a walk and explore.
While the Pikmin console games require more strategy to succeed, this new game requires more daily walks. “Walk to grow more Pikmin, walk to make flowers bloom, and walk to log your memories,” says the YouTube description.
Users will have the option to “to add notes and photos to your lifelog, providing a way to turn an ordinary day into a special memory,” says Niantic’s blog post.
Social media fans can already follow @PikminBloom on Twitter and @PikminBloom on Instagram..
