Glimmer Studio announced its side-scrolling platform game Lumione is coming to PC and Switch on October 13, 2021.
According to Glimmer Studio, Lumione is the work of young university graduates, with an average age of 23.
“The game’s major themes are chasing dreams and having hope. Players will play the part of the beloved deep-sea fairy, Glimmer, as they escape from darkness and follow the path of the Light,” says the press release. “Faced with trials of wisdom and courage, they will need to prove they have got what it takes to bring the light of hope back to the darkness of the seabed.”
The games features beautiful graphics reminiscent of Ori and the Blind Forest. This game is different though as it takes place underwater.
The gameplay seems simple but it can be hard to master. As Glimmer, players have the ability to jump, climb and glide in order to avoid all obstacles and traps. The difficulty will increase as players progress through the 170 levels.
A demo is currently available over at Steam for the ones curious about the game.
Lumione will cost $12.99 on the Nintendo eShop and $11.99 on Steam. A 10% discount will be offered during the first week of release.
