Ragnarok Origin Closed Beta Test starts September 23rd

South Korean developer Gravity is inviting North American players for the Ragnarok Origin Closed Beta Test starting September 23rd at 4 p.m. PST.

If the name of the game sounds familiar and takes you back to the early 2000s, it is. The upcoming title is a mobile reimagining of the classic MMORPG Ragnarok Online.

This time around, Ragnarog Origin brings back the old-school style of MMORPG for the mobile gaming generation.

“Ragnarok Origin features detailed 3D graphics, improved combat and reworked quests. Picking from one of six highly customizable character classes, players are free to explore, fight, quest and socialize as they see fit. Explore the wilds, visit massive cities and immerse yourself in a nostalgic yet fresh fantasy world,” says the press release.

Fans can pre-register right now at https://ragnarok-origin.com/Prejoin to claim bonus items at the start of their quest, such as:

• 1x Ring For Beginners (Stat boosting equipment)
• 3x Boxes of Potions (Consumable health, mana and food items)
• 1x Gym Pass (Permanently increases inventory capacity)

More items will be distributed as more players participate. People who sign up will also have the opportunity to win a Tesla Model S.

The Closed Beta end on September 27th.
