Epic Games announces Fortnite x Balenciaga collaboration

Epic Games announced the Fortnite x Balenciaga collaboration, offering four new outfits and other items based on the work of the Spanish luxury designer Cristóbal Balenciaga.

With the partnership, Fortnite and Balenciaga have entered into the world of digital luxury fashion.

The Balenciaga Fit Set includes the following:

• • Unchained Ramirez Outfit: She’s coming in haute. (Comes with the alt Silver Unchained Ramirez Style.)
  • Shady Doggo Outfit: Who’s a stylish boy? (Comes with the alt Midnight Shady Doggo and Cardinal Shady Doggo Styles.)
  • Fashion Banshee Outfit: Battle Bus prepped. Runway ready. (Comes with the alt 24K Fashion Banshee Style.)
  • Game Knight Outfit: So retro you can call it a renaissance. (Comes with the alt Stealth Game Knight Style.)

However, some of the real clothing seen in the games are more expensive than a PS5 or Xbox Series console. At Balenciaga.com, a Fortnite Jacket Large Fit cost just $1,290 USD, while a Fortnite 2021 shirt (large fit) is priced at $995 USD. There are hats, tees, hoodies and other things Fortnite starting at $395 USD.

There are other things that come with the Balenciaga Fit Set including backpacks, pickaxes, gliders, wraps, and emote.

In addition, the new Hub and Balenciaga in-game retail store will feature a rotating set of fashion from the Fortnite community on virtual billboards, with innovative pictures that mix players’ self-expression, all set in a surprisingly weird metropolis.
