Nintendo seems to be working on a brand-new Nintendo Switch controller, according to FCC documents.
The information about the new model HAC-043 mentions little about the game controller.
As seen on the controller’s product page on the FCC website, most of the data has been classified confidential.
A Request for Confidentiality document (Archive) was filed by Nintendo on July 26 to protect the product’s photos, manuals and other specific info. Some info will be revealed on March 16, 2022.
From the information available, documents say the new controller will have Bluetooth. It was just recently that Nintendo released a system update that allows users to connect Bluetooth devices to the Switch.
There’s not enough information to find out if the new product will be a new replica of a GameCube or N64 controller. Nintendo has released specific replicas of original NES and SNES controllers to play classic NES and SNES games on the Switch.
