Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade developer Behaviour Interactive has shut down the game’s server, bringing the game to an end after almost five years.
The online third-person shooter was released on PC on September 23, 2016. There were plans to bring the title to Xbox One and PS4, but failed.
Behaviour Interactive announced on June 10, 2021, that the game was going to be removed from Steam on September 10, 2021. With the shutdown, there is no way to play online modes. Also, the game client software is no longer available on Steam.
Yesterday, Behaviour Interactive released the following statement:
Hello Crusaders,
As previously announced, today we have officially sunset the game. As part of the shutdown, all personal data related to Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade has been removed.
We are proud of all of the work that went into Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade, and for the amazing community that rallied behind the game. Thank you for everything, we appreciate all of your support through the years.
