During SummerSlam yesterday, 2K Games announced WWE 2K22 will make its debut in March 2022.
The announcement may have disappointed some fans. Most WWE titles since WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2010 (released in 2009) have been released in the month of October in North America.
A 31-second trailer doesn’t say what features or modes fans will be seeing in the game. However, a tweet mentions the game will have new controls, stunning graphics and a redesigned engine. More info about the game will be revealed in January.
Also, 2021 will be the first year without a WWE video game since the release of WWF SmackDown! on March 2, 2000, in North America. In the last few years, 2K Games released WWE 2K20 (in 2019) and WWE 2K Battlegrounds in 2020.
