With no new games in the Top 30 list for the week of August 2-8, 2021, Minecraft once again takes the lead in game sales ranking in Japan.
After the successful release of NEO: The World Ends with You, the Switch version went down from 1st place to 23rd place during its second week, while the PS4 one was not seen at all in the Top 30 list. Meanwhile, during a slow week in sales, Minecraft took the #1 spot with 14,912 copies sold that week.
However, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD was able to stay in second place with 18,620 copies sold for a total of 220,351. Also, Crayon Shin-chan: Ora to Hakase no Natsuyasumi – Owaranai Nanokakan no Tabi, released on July 15, went up in ranking as well from 5th to 3rd place with 13,798 that week and a total of 156,274.
