During its debut week, Monster Hunter Stories 2 Wings of Ruin took the #1 spot in game sales in Japan with 137,676 Switch copies sold for the week of July 5-11, 2021.
Its closest competitor that week was eBaseball Professional Baseball Spirits 2021 Grand Slam with 106,597 Switch copies sold.
Meanwhile, after two weeks in the top spot, Mario Golf Super Rush went down to just third place with just 17,333 copies. Game Builder Garage takes fourth.
Out of the Top 30 titles, only 3 PS4 titles made the list. The rest were for Switch. Two other new titles, The Legend of Heroes – Thors Military Academy 1204 and Furaiki 4, also made the Top 30 list.
