Via social media, NetherRealm Studios announced work on Mortal Kombat 11 DLC won’t continue to focus now on an upcoming game.
Since the debut of MK11 in North America on April 23, 2019, the developer added various skins, stages and characters into its packs (including Aftermath).
The developer had included veteran, new and guest fighters to the game such as Shang Tsung, Geras, Robocop and Spawn. However, with the release of MK11 Ultimate, some fans weren’t sure about seeing more DLC fighters. Today, some fans are expressing their dissatisfaction. Street Fighter V, another fighting game, has released five seasons of additional characters since 2016.
With the conclusion of MK11, NetherRealm did not specifically state what its next project will be about.
NetherRealm is now focusing on its next project and after more than two years of supporting Mortal Kombat 11, DLC for the game, including characters, has come to an end.
