Rockstar Games announced today it will shutdown GTA Online for PS3 and Xbox 360 on Dec. 16, 2021.
While the news may be disappointing for some fans, Rockstar Games also stated the “new expanded and enhanced versions” of GTA V and GTA Online are coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S this Fall.
With the shutdown, users won’t be able to sign in to get website stat tracking via Rockstar Games Social Club. Also, Shark Cash Cards for GTA Online on PS3 and Xbox 360 won’t be sold anymore after September 15, 2021.
Rockstar is also ending website stat tracking for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of L.A. Noire and Max Payne 3. In addition. the developer will also remove online multiplayer and leaderboards for Max Payne 3 on both consoles.
According to Rockstar, the upcoming changes will not affect Story Mode in the mentioned versions of those titles.
