After its debut in Japan during the week of May 17-23, Miitopia has taken the lead in game sales for the week of May 24-30, 2021.
During the first three days of release starting on May 21, Miitopia sold 72,725 copies, according to Famitsu. Only Rune Factory 5 had more copies of games sold than Miitopia with 102,853 that week. RF5 made its debut on May 20.
From May 24-30, Miitopia jumped to first place with most games sold at 34,451 copies sold, totaling 107,176 since release date.
However, RF5 went down to fifth place with 12,903 games sold on its second week. It still got more games sold than Miitopia with 115,756 thanks to its earlier release.
