MLS team Los Angeles FC (LAFC) has selected Esports Entertainment Group (EEG) as its esports tournament provider.
With this agreement announced today, EEG will be responsible for LAFC’s esports tournaments with the use of its Esports Gaming League platform.
EEG will make use of player imagery “within the Southern California market”. In addition, EEG will create custom videos with LAFC players to get the attention of fans for tournaments. The EEG collaboration will be included in the team’s digital marketing efforts.
“MLS and our Club have been at the forefront of incorporating esports as a way of engaging and expanding our audience,” said LAFC Co-President and CBO Larry Freedman. “Partnering with Esports Entertainment Group will provide us with the platform to deepen connections with our fans while driving new levels of engagement.”
