A Digital Bros. financial report says a sequel for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is now being developed.
As seen on page 25 of the company’s 3rd quarter 2020-2021 financial results, it says “Second version in development” for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.
The same page has some other interesting facts about Bloodstained:
- Latest creation of Koji Igarashi, the former series producer of the Castlevania franchise
- Worldwide publishing rights on PC and all console formats
- High Metacritic Score (Avg. 81)
- € 30.2 million LTD (life-to-date) revenues – more than 1 million copies sold
- Expected lifetime revenues of at least € 30 million
- Released in June 2019 (for Nintendo switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Windows 10)
Unfortunately, there is no mention of a release date or if developer ArtPlay and Koji Igarashi will do another Kickstarter project.
Earlier this month, Digital Bros. stated its subsidiary 505 Games will develop and publish a new game with MercurySteam Entertainment, developer of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow and its sequel Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate.
