Microsoft will not release Bethesda’s Starfield game on rival PS5 console, sources told Venture Beat.
Since Microsoft purchased parent company ZeniMax Media, fans have been wondering if titles developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks will arrive to competing consoles and PC.
Venture Beat writer Jeff Grubb said he confirmed this specific exclusive “applies to Starfield through sources familiar with the decision.”

While it makes sense for Microsoft to bring certain titles to multiple consoles such as Minecraft, the company may want to keep certain IPs as exclusive to increase the value of Xbox Game Pass.
The game has been in the works for years. It was first announced at E3 2018.
Xbox has not offered a response about the Venture Beat post.
