Leona Heidern returns in The King of Fighters XV

SNK announced recently the return of Leona Heidern (レオナ・ハイデルン) in The King of Fighters XV.

According to her KOF XIV profile, she is the adopted daughter of Heidern, a commander of the Ikari Warriors. Personality-wise, she is quiet but is not good at expressions her feelings. Her profile also says she has Orochi’s blood and “her power may awaken.” In the trailer, Leona can be seen using her Riot of the Blood (血の暴走 Chi no Bōsō) and Orochi Power.

At an early age, she got military training from her adopted father. He was amazed by her natural fighting abilities. She was raised as an Ikari Warrior and became known as The Silent Soldier. Her name means “lioness” in Spanish.

She has made frequent appearances in various KOF and Metal Slug games. Leona appeared as a playable character for the very first time in The King of Fighters ’96. As the 18th fighter, she will have to use all her skills against Mai, King, and the rest of the participants.
