Max Thunder returns in Streets of Rage 4

Max Thunder is the second playable character in the upcoming Mr. X Nightmare DLC for Streets of Rage 4.

Veteran fans should recognize his presence from Streets of Rage 2. Max is a very powerful wrestler and friend of Axel. In SoR2, he helped Axel, Blaze, and Skate rescue Adam Hunter. Meanwhile, in SoR3, he wasn’t a playable character but appeared in the good ending.

There is still one more character left to reveal. In the previous trailer, Dotemu, Lizardcube and Guard Crush Games introduced Estel Aguirre for the DLC.

Today’s announcement comes on the first anniversary of SoR4. Over at Steam, the developers shared fan art, photos and videos of Streets of Rage 4 as a way to celebrate the anniversary.
