Yoshinori Ono, former Capcom game producer, will become President and COO at Delightworks.
According to the press release, Ono “will participate in the management in order to manage the company from a more multifaceted perspective.” He will be appointed to his new position on May 1, 2021. Akihito Shoji will join Ono as Chairman and CEO in the same day. Shoji is the Founder and President at Hyundai.
Earlier today, Ono wrote on Twitter he is leaving Capcom to work at another company. Also, a picture of him shows a Blanka toy in the wall where the Delightworks logo appears.
“On May 1st, I will be moving from Capcom to another company. I’m going to be working at a studio that is a little different from the one I’m used to. I’m also going to be looking at development from a different perspective than in the past.”

He continues, “My past experiences have been very exciting, but I’m looking forward to more growth in my new position. The image color of new company is green, so this part is connected with JIMMY. ;P.” He calls Blanka by the character’s real name, Jimmy.
