Geoff Keighley announced yesterday that Summer Game Fest 2021 will start in June with Day of the Devs.
The Day of the Devs digital event is a joint effort between iam8bit and Double Fine Productions alongside The Game Awards producer Geoff Keighley.
Last year, Keighley was in charge of the first-ever four-month Summer Game Fest, which featured interviews, trailers and announcements for indie titles.
Unlike big events like E3, the purpose of Day of the Devs is to highlight independent game developers. Developers wanting to participate will need to complete a form for consideration of their games through April 9.
Are you a developer that has a game we should consider? There are no costs or fees to take part in our Day of the Devs showcase with @iam8bit and @doublefine.
Submit your game now through April 9: https://t.co/eDiXNKgrRj

What will be different this year is the invitation for not just small studios as in previous years but also big studios “with a big focus on celebrating diverse voices.”
We're looking for games from small and big studios, with a big focus on celebrating diverse voices. Feel free to submit your title.
