Crunchyroll announced via its website the Virtual Crunchyroll Expo 2021 will take place on August 5-7.
For Crunchyroll, it will be the second straight year the convention will have a virtual format due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“The Crunchyroll Expo staff made the decision with the safety of attendees, exhibitors, guests, and the staff themselves at the forefront, so look for the next edition of Virtual Crunchyroll Expo 2021 to go live August 5-7.”
The previously-scheduled physical Crunchyroll Expo 2021 was going to take place on August 6-8 at the San José McEnery Convention Center in San José, California.
For fans who purchased tickets for the Crunchyroll Expo 2020 and wanted to use them for this year’s expo, the tickets “can be saved for the 2022 in-person event (even if prices change).” There will also be an option to request a full refund.
Crunchyroll will have more details to share sometime next month via its website and social media accounts.
