Mexican actor and singer Ricardo Silva, known for the Latin American rendition of Dragon Ball Z’s Cha-La Head Cha-La, died on February 7, 2021, due to COVID-19.
The news first appeared on his social media accounts followed by messages from fellow voice over stars who worked alongside.
“To my friends and followers, thanks, thanks and more thanks for your love, support, trust, thanks for a life full of light. I leave you a great legacy and I will always be present in it. I want to tell you I’m leaving in calm, without pain, without unfinished business, I forgave and also I forgave myself,” says the message. “Don’t cry, be happy, remember me and think about me with a smile and my great passion for music. No matter what happens… I’m fine now.”

Days before his passing, his family had informed the actor was taken to a hospital due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He was then in a stable condition.

Unfortunately, the actor’s passing was confirmed late last night. He was 67 years old.
Besides his work on Dragon ball Z, he sang the Latin American opening theme for Digimon Adventure 02, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Duck Tales, Captain Tsubasa, Pokémon, and many others.
