Samurai Shodown coming to Xbox Series X/S on March 16

Samurai Shodown, one of SNK’s epic fighting sagas, is coming to next-gen consoles Xbox Series X/S on March 16, 2021. With Koch Media, the physical edition will make it to retail stores in North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, Australia, New Zealand and Middle East.

Unlike other versions, the Xbox Series X/S release will run “at a smooth 120 FPS.”

Users who have already played the Xbox One version will be able to play Samurai Shodown and their purchased DLCs for free.

The physical version will also include Rimururu, Basara, Kazuki Kazama and Wan-Fu from Season 1, and Chamcham from Season 3. A code will let users download the mentioned characters.

“Season Pass 3 will go live alongside the Xbox Series X and S launch and includes an update to the game with balance changes,” said game director Hayato Konya.
