Awesome Games Done Quick 2021 raises over $2.7m for the Prevent Cancer Foundation

The week-long Awesome Games Done Quick 2021 event has raised over USD$2.7 million for the Prevent Cancer Foundation.

According to stats seen on its web site, AAGD raised USD$2,764,162.03 from 42,090 donations. The highest donation: USD$187,084.08 from Games Done Quick.

Just like many other events, this year’s edition was done online due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Games Done Quick is a twice-a-year video game speed-run event that raises money for various charities. Among the titles played were: The Messenger, Super Meat Boy, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Super Mario 64, Final Fantasy VII, Halo 3, Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes, and many more.
