Microsoft and Best Buy announced today they will be offering Cyberpunk 2077 refunds after the disappointing arrival of the game on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
Via its Xbox support section and Twitter, Microsoft announced it will offer “full refunds for Cyberpunk 2077 digital purchases” made via the Microsoft Store, “until further notice.” However, the title is still available on the Microsoft Store.
Cyberpunk 2077: To ensure that every player can get the experience they expect on Xbox, we will be expanding our existing refund policy to offer full refunds to anyone who purchased Cyberpunk 2077 digitally from the Microsoft Store, until further notice. https://t.co/04TcniwVzy

Meanwhile, a Best Buy media specialist wrote via a forum the company will allow returns of opened copies of Cyberpunk 2077 “through 12/21/2020.” Those copies include the Standard and the Collector’s Edition versions of the game for PS4 and Xbox One. The store will also offer refunds for the digital version on Xbox One. People who purchased the game can get a refund by returning the title to a Best Buy store or sending it back via mail. The store usually doesn’t accept the return of opened games.
For now, it seems like one of the best ways to play Cyberpunk 2077 without a next-gen console is with Google Stadia.
CD Projekt Red also released hotfix 1.05 today. A page explains all the changes now available for the Xbox and PS consoles. The PC version will also receive the hotfix soon.
